Correct setup from the start

## Programming is only one part of opener commissioning.

A complete setup checks mounting, travel limits, force behavior, photo eyes, reversal, manual release, remotes, keypads, wall controls, vehicle controls, lighting, battery backup, and supported connectivity.

###  Travel and force 

Set open and closed positions and confirm safe response to resistance and obstructions.

###  Remotes and keypads 

Pair supported handheld controls, wireless keypads, and wall stations.

###  Vehicle controls 

Program compatible built-in vehicle systems or identify when a bridge is required.

###  Wi-Fi and app 

Connect supported smart features and verify essential status and control functions.

##  A safe setup sequence 

Settings are confirmed in an order that protects the door and the people who use it.

###  Inspect 

Check the door, balance, track, springs, opener mounting, rail, wiring, and controls.

###  Configure 

Set travel and force, align sensors, and program approved controls and accessories.

###  Test 

Verify full travel, reversal, photo eyes, manual release, controls, and smart functions.

After a move or control change

## Reset access when the people using the garage change.

When a remote is lost, a home changes ownership, or access needs change, compatible opener memory can often be cleared before approved remotes, keypads, vehicles, and smart users are added again.
